Do you have your own suggestions for how our University can make your graduate experience even more productive and enjoyable? Would you like to suggest different access to research materials in the library, or a new class for your program? How about more social and volunteer activities that cater specifically to graduate students?
The week following Labor Day will mark the beginning of GSA's newly-established Open Table Forum -- a place for all MTSU Masters and Doctoral students to share thoughts on and ideas for their programs, research, and overall experience as graduate students!
Stop by Starbucks at the James E. Walker Library on Wednesday, September 7th from 11:30-1:00pm to meet with your GSA staff members and other graduate students, sip some coffee, and tell us about what you think about graduate school so far at MTSU. We want to hear what you're learning, researching, and planning for your careers, and especially what you enjoy most about graduate school, and what you would like to see improved.
The Open Table Forum will be held at varying times and days each week, so that as many students as possible are able to fit it into their schedules. Each Open Table Forum schedule will be posted at the beginning of each week, so be sure to check our blog or Facebook page to mark your calendars!
We are extremely excited for this weekly event to get to know each of you and hear your ideas. Don't forget, this can be a wonderful networking opportunity, both professional and social, so don't be shy when you get here!
*Note, coffee will not be provided; BUT, generosity often flows with the making of new friends, and from time to time, it may flow in the form of coffee!
